Welcome to the Sts Simon and Jude Adult Social Club
Because of the expressed interest of some of our parishioners throughout this past year, the Parish is attempting to revive the Adult Social Club. Last June, we had an informational meeting that was attended by more than 40 parishioners, who were full of life and exciting ideas. Throughout the summer months, a core group of leaders met to discuss what activities could be offered and would be attractive to our parishioners. The first meeting was held on September 18th.
Everyone is invited and needed to join in with other parishioners who are full of life.
Regular monthly meetings will be held the third week of the month:
April – October
November – March
- Third Sunday – 2 PM
The November meeting will be a short business meeting, followed by "Fun & Games" for all in attendance
Starting with the November meeting, we are changing our meeting date & time to the third Sunday of the month @ 2:00 PM. This will continue until Daylight Saving time in March. The monthly meetings will involve sharing of information, speakers, activities and refreshments. The club plans to offer traveling opportunities, attend local events, restaurants, as well as other exciting events based on the level of interest from the members.
NEXT MEETING
The next meeting is scheduled for Sunday January 18th @ 2:00 PM in the Parish Center East. We will have a featured speaker, Helen Hanslow from the West Chester History Museum .
Also, we are planning a 2 night trip in early September to the Golden Inn in Avalon, NJ. Details to be announced at the January meeting.
