Elizabeth Ministry
Elizabeth Ministry is an outreach by the parish community to women and their families through the joys and sorrows of the childbearing years. The purpose of this ministry is to affirm, support, encourage, and assist women who are expecting a child, have suffered the loss of a child through miscarriage or stillbirth, who struggle with the pain of infertility, or who are in the process of adopting a child or who are dealing with an infant or child crisis.
Many of us at SS. Simon and Jude know firsthand the need for support and guidance during these crucial childbearing years and as women of the parish we would like to assist others in utilizing the resources necessary to create an emotionally well-balanced experience for the entire family. It is through sharing experience and caring through the struggles that we can become critical mentors for one another in a safe, relaxing and supportive environment.
It is our hope that you will make use of the services provided through the Elizabeth Ministry, make referrals to us, or join us as a volunteer. Together, we know we can make a difference in the life of women and families who need us.
