CHILDREN'S LITURGY
Children's Liturgy of the Word is geared toward children, ages 5 to 12. The children are invited to process to the Chapel to hear God's Word proclaimed. We are celebrating the Mass with the children just as we do in Church. After the 1st Reading, the Responsorial Psalm and Alleluia are sung, followed by the Gospel. The children reflect on what was heard, pray the Creed, Prayer of the Faithful and then return to the main Church for the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
Children vary in their spiritual development. Some older children (ages 10 - 12) benefit from attending Children's Liturgy, whereas others benefit from remaining in the church, hearing the readings and homily given by the priest. Please keep in mind the needs of your older child when considering Children's Liturgy.

Catholic Youth Organization provides the following sports activity programs to foster physical, moral, and emotional growth in children. All members of SS. Simon and Jude parish are welcome to participate.
