EDUCATION & EVANGELIZATION
Proclaim the good news of Christ in word and deed by living and sharing our faith. SS Simon and Jude offers many Education and Evangelization Programs.
Alpha is a ten-week opportunity to explore the validity and relevance of the Christian faith for our lives today. Alpha is a practical introduction to the basics of Christianity with lots of opportunity for debate and discussion.
CLE is a program of released time for public high school students of the parish. They meet several times for a full day of instruction, community and service. The students are bussed to various sites, such as Malvern Retreat House and Immaculata University, to experience teachings, small group interaction, prayer and fellowship.
CLE is designed to help our teens better develop their identity as Catholic young women and men and as people of faith.
BIBLE STUDY
The Bible Study Group meets weekly, information is in the Parish Bulletin.
ECUMENICAL GROUP
In an effort to share our various beliefs with members of other denominations, the Ecumenical group was formed. Not only will we learn from the practices of others, but we will also come to a better understand-ing of one another. Any adult member of the parish is welcome to join. Meetings are held periodically during the year as announced in the Sunday bulletin.
HOSPITALITY COMMITTEE
The parish always welcomes new parishioners. The Hospitality Committee fosters a spirit of fellowship by greeting new members after Sunday Mass or at coffee and other occasions. All parishioners are invited to participate in any or all activities. A friendly smile is all you need to qualify. The planning committee meets on the first Wednesday of the month to coordinate activities. Only those wishing to be part of the planning committee need attend the monthly meeting.
Coffees are held the second Sunday of the month from September through June.
LIVING NATIVITY
Live tableau scenes portrayed during Advent. All are welcome to participate. Call the Rectory Office for details.
LANDINGS
Landings, a Paulist program for returning Catholics, is a reconciliation process of the parish that welcomes inactive Catholics wanting to take another look at the Church. Landings is subtle and simple! It is an enriching experience for both team members and returning Catholics alike. Participation on a Landings team is open to all parishioners. Teams are formed as needed to welcome returning Catholics. Call the Rectory Office for more information.
Celebrating it's 30th Anniversary this year, the Prayer Group meets in the Chapel on Mondays from 8:00 to 9:30 p.m. Come and worship with us!
All members of the parish community and, in particular, teenagers and young adults are encouraged to participate in the Pro-Life organization. The organization helps to support and encourage our parish involvement in the Pro-Life movement by educating the parish community and by coordinating parish participation in national, state, and local Pro-Life activities, including the March for Life in January.
Four quarterly meetings are held in the parish. See the Sunday bulletin for meeting dates.
For more active participation, parishioners are invited to attend Chester County Pro-Life Coalition monthly meetings, which are held on the second Tuesday of the month at 8:00 p.m. at alternating locations.

RCIA is the way people join the Catholic Christian Family or become fully initiated members of it. This rite is meant to be the basic way through which an adult candidate would become fully initiated into the Catholic Church.
