Music Ministry
CANTORS/LEADERS OF SONG
Cantors encourage us all to raise our voices in praise and thanksgiving, and in so doing, help us participate more fully in the celebration of the Mass as a part of the "Body of Christ." Membership is open to all parishioners. Personality and fervor are as important as vocal ability. Rehearsals are held on the last Thursday of the month.
ADULT CHOIR
The choir leads the congregation in praising the Lord through song during our weekend liturgies. They sing during the 10:30 a.m. Sunday liturgy as well as other special celebrations. The choir also presents concerts during the year. Any member of the parish is welcome. New members may join during two openings 1) Sept - Nov 15 and January - March 15. Rehearsals are held on Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. from September to May.
CONTEMPORARY GUITAR
Several groups of guitarists and vocalists minister music at most 5:00 p.m. Saturday evening liturgies from September through June. Parishioners who love to sing and are looking to share good fellowship are more than welcome. Rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings.
FIRE AND GRACE
YOUTH CHOIR
Our parish Youth Choir offers an opportunity for the young people of our parish to become involved in liturgical leadership at our weekend assemblies. The group sings once a month at the 5:00 p.m. Mass, and plays a special part in our Christmas, Palm Sunday, and Easter children's liturgies. All children of the parish in Grades 1-8 may join. Rehearsals are held Sunday evenings in the Church from 6-7 p.m.
