Do you love to sing? Do you play an instrument? There are many opportunities to serve the Lord with music.
Cantors Cantors lead the assembly in song and encourage the congregation to participate more fully in liturgy. No experience necessary, but vocal ability is required.
Instrumentalists All Masses are accompanied by an organist or pianist. Some liturgical celebrations call for supplemental musicians as well, such as trumpeters, violinists, flutists, etc. Liturgical experience preferred. Audition required.
Adult Choir The adult choir inspires and supports the congregation to participate in song during Mass and other liturgical celebrations throughout the year. They are scheduled to sing at the 9:30 Mass the first three Sundays of the month from September to June. Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings from 7:00-8:30. The ability to read music is a plus, as is previous choral experience, but by no means a pre-requisite. The desire to praise the Lord through song is all that is required. New members are always welcome!
Contemporary Ensemble Sanctuary, our contemporary ensemble, leads the 6PM Sunday liturgy in song every week, as well as other celebrations and Masses throughout the year. Using piano, guitar, drums, and vocals, they incorporate a unique blend of praise and worship music, contemporary Christian music, and traditional hymns. Any interested parishioner is invited to request an audition. Students in Grades 9-12 are also welcome to inquire.
